One of these is takenfrom the point where the Wasbburne flows intothe Wharfe, about a mile and a half below fishermen are busy on the bank or in theriver, while their rods, basket, and a number ofgleaming fish are spread out on the shingly bankin the foreground. To the left, the eye followsthe winding of the Wharfe along its shady andpicturesque banks, and on the right, above thetrees and gently sloping fields, stands FarnleyHall proudly crowning the height. It seems tolook down with friendly eyes upon the beautifulscenery. Other views are taken across the river,on the south side, from the rocky heights of theOtley Chevin.
