Head started Blanding's turtle walking towards pond after release in late May. This is a 10 month old turtle which was raised by the Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust and is the same size of a 3 year old turtle found in the wild. This will greatly increase the reptiles ability to survive from predators seeking-out newly hatched freshwater turtles for a snack.
