KABUL, Afghanistan (July 23, 2018) - Afghan National Police work inside the Enhanced Security Zone manning 26 checkpoints to keep the capital city safe. The establishment of the Enhanced Security Zone stemmed from the German Embassy attack in May 2017. Resolute Support advisors assist the police at the checkpoints every week, they conduct an average of 600 mounted and 1000 dismounted patrols each month. (NATO
