Call at-tention to the directions on the fillercan, and lay particular stress on thenecessity of rubbing off surplus filleracross the grain, within fifteen or twentyminutes after applying. Three coats ofvarnish are often suggested for suchwork, Ask whether natural finish or astained effect is desired,and supply theproper filler accordingly.
