ROTA, Spain (March 22, 2017) Lt. Christian Seymour, left, the operations officer aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71), shows South African sailors assigned to the SAS Amatola (F 145) the newly-installed Mark 38 25 mm machine gun system. Ross is forward-deployed to Rota, Spain conducting naval operations in the 6th Fleet area of operations in support of national security interests in Europe and Africa.
