This room at one time also contained an image of Buddha, and still contains a number of small Buddha images standing on a small table. The carved wooden door frame of this upper room is said to have been brought here from the kings palace at Gampola, and 1 think it is quite possible that, being under cover, it has lasted for five and a half centuries.
