2007 photograph -Wreck of the Panama Registered MV NEW FLAME lying half sunk off Europa Point Lighthouse, Gibraltar -- The Panamanian bulk-carrier cargo ship collided with the stern of the Torm Gertrud,a double-hulled Danish petroleum tanker on 12 August 2007. She ended up partially submerged in the Strait of Gibraltar, breaking in two in December 2007 and couldn't be recovered. The cargo was salvaged and the stern section removed for scrap. The Captain was arrested for departing without permission. It was built in 1994 &originally named Skaustrand.
