A pair of silver Roman strap ends, late 2nd - mid 3rd century A pair of two-piece strap ends from a military belt with a pierced pattern of S-shaped scrolls, forked at top as strap holder with rivet for leather mounting. In the centre a hinge with iron pin. At bottom movable pendant. One strap with ancient repair of silver wire and soldering of a crack to reconnect both parts after one piece of the hinge was broken off.
