If it is desired to arrange fifty cellsin sets of ten, the cells are divided into five lots; each lot isarranged in simple circuit which gives as a result five separatebatteries, the elements of which are ten times greater in areathan the elements of a single cell ; the five batteries are nowlooked upon as five large cells, and these are arranged in com-pound circuit.
