Gibraltar - 27th March 2014 - Pictured a Spanish state Fishery Protection vessel turns to head away after a prolonged stand-off with the Royal Navy after it approached fishing vessels in Gibraltar waters. In attendance was already a Guardia Civil patrol boat (far right). At approximately 1100hrs on the 27th March 2015 Spanish state Fishery Protection, Guardia Civil and Maritime Search and Rescue vessels made two separate incursions into British Gibraltar Waters. The first incursion saw a Spanish Fishery Protection vessel ignore instructions from a Royal Navy patrol boat to leave the area after it was seen close to fishing vessels in British Gibraltar territorial waters. During a prolonged stand-off a Guardia Civil patrol boat entered Gibraltar waters and made manourvres which saw it directly obstruct the Royal Naval patrol boat as it follwoed the Fishery Protection vessel through the bay within Gibraltar waters.
