Uranographia constellations. This page of this star atlas shows Northern Hemisphere constellations. The constellations are groupings of stars in the night sky, here represented by mythological figures. At top left is Gemini (twins), center Orion and Taurus at right. At centre in the background the Milky Way is shown. Uranographia was published in 1801 by the German astronomer Johann Elert Bode (1747-1826). These were the last maps showing real figures.
