A naval officer's sabre, with a Damascus blade A slightly curved, reinforced blade of watered steel with yelmen. Gilded, sculpted brass hilt with folding guard plates. Traces of use. The proper sword knot, somewhat worn, is attached. Leather scabbard with gilded brass mountings. Length 93 cm. According to the accompanying documents, the owner of the sabre was a Chief Quartermaster in the East Asian Squadron and was transferred to the Imperial yacht Hohenzollern in 1914.
