DEMONS - ASMODEUS Described as a 'destructive demon', Asmodeus is supposed to spread dissipation and terror among humans: he is credited with being the tempter of Eve. He is supposed to have been forced to help Solomon build the Temple in Jerusalem. When conjured, he is able to grant the power of invisibility and is reputed to t each the secrets of mathematics, astronomy and the mechanical arts. He appears riding a monster, and has the head of a king, the head of an ox and the head of a Ram. His picture is from the 1863 edition of Collin de Plancy, Dictionnaire Infernal.
