It has 1 00 cells of Electric Storage Bat-tery Companys type MV-7 chloride accumulators arranged infour banks of 25 each, so placed as to be used inseries-multiple during discharge, but all to be con-nected in series during charge. The controller isthe Westinghouse No. 1 45 type, altered to suit therequirements, so that it has five points, the middlepoint being the off position. The first point eitherside of the off position connects four banks of 25cells in multiple. The second point either side ofthe central connects two banks of 25 cells in seriesand two in multiple. One side of the central offposition is forward and the other side is total weight of the complete locomotive isabout 7500 lbs.
