A wide, smooth top edge is attached perpendicular to one of these two halves. Each bracket half shows a sitting, young Mercury with his winged helmet and aesculape on a roughened ground in the middle, a putto with mirror (Prudentia) on the left corner and a putto with a staff and mask (theater) on the right corner.
