1914 The London Scottish Regiment charge with fixed bayonets during a training exercise before going into battle (WWI). The 1/14th Battalion was mobilized on the outbreak of war and was immediately sent to France France. The 2/14th Battalion went initially to France in June 1916 but then transferred to Salonika and Palestine. 1st Battalion of the London Scottish was the first Territorial Infantry Battalion in 1914 to be involved in action against the Germans at Messines in 1914
