When full grown the larva drops to theground and forms an earthen cell just beneath the surface, inwhich it transforms to a yellowish pupa, from which the beetleemerges the next spring. Onh red raspberries seem to be affected,and some varieties are particularly injured. The insect has beenreported as injurious from Minnesota to Massachusetts and inOntario.
