Another important road is that from Rio Vista to Suisun,which would supply not only a main traffic line between thetwo towns but also would tend to develop an agriculturalsection of the county that is badly in need of roads. At theeastern end of this road at Rio Vista, a highway bridge of thebascule type has been built at a cost of $200,000, sharedjointly by Solano and Sacramento counties, which forms ashort and direct cross-country outlet for travel betweenlower Sacramento and upper San Joaquin Valley points andthe northern reaches of the California coast.
