A navy pistol M 1849 Smooth bore in 15 mm calibre with brass front sight. At the breech a stamped eagle above anchor beside acceptance stamp. Percussion lock with maker's stamp eagle/"SUHL S & C" above anchor. Walnut stock with multiply stamped brass furniture. Hinged iron ramrod. Iron parts reworked with some traces of corrosion, belt hook removed. Length 40 cm. The navy of the German Confederation only existed from 1848 - 1852.
