Lealholm moorland village , North Yorkshire UK. The bridge crosses the river Esk which is also forded by a set of famous stepping stones. Its history can be traced to the Domesday Book of 1086, with entries relating to the Manor of Crumbeclive and "Lelum" (a pronunciation still used by local people in the Whitby district and surrounding North York Moors.). It stands on the Whitby to Middlesbrough railway line which also serves the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, operating heritage services between Pickering and Whitby via Grosmont.
