A hog shed of my own construc-tion is shown in the sketch certainly is a cheap, warm shed, built in a horse feed rack. A well-built A-shaped house is constructedin the rack, the roof boards runningsame as on an A-shaped hog house. Ihave doors in roof that can be openedwhen rack is empty in summer, thuspermitting sunlight to enter. My feed>rack is 10x30x13 ft. high with a on two sides and on one end. The other end is left open for an en-trance for the hogs. I haul a load ofwheat straw and cover this house, and fill the manger. Then I haul oatstraw, hay or any other feed, fill therack and your hog house is well cov-ered. By putting the wheat straw infirst, the manger is always well filledfor banking for the house. This houseis two feet high on sides and fourfeet in center. One Hundred Twelve PART II A One-Room Portable Hog House
