These two ligaments close the large and small sacro-sciaticnotches, and convert them into two foramina, which bear the samename. The Inclination of the Pelvis.—The plane of the brim of the pelviswas formerly supposed to run nearly parallel to the horizon, whencethe term horizontal ramus, applied to the tipper branch of thepubes. As a fact, however, in the upright position, the inclination ofthe brim to the horizon varies from 45c to LOO .
