Grey sky view from steps to Deansgate Metrolonk station, Salford Branch Viaduct passing under Great Northern Viaduct, Manchester

The Canal Basin at Castlefield, Manchester, is crossed by four large railway viaducts. The 1848-49 brick arch Salford Branch Viaduct, the most northerly viaduct, passes under the disused tubular steel 1894 Great Northern Viaduct at the eastern end of the basin to reach Deansgate Station. View from the access steps from Duke Street to Deansgate Metrolink Station (behind the camera).
