Parkinson's disease brain surgery. Surgeons implanting two electrodes for deep brain stimulation (DBS) of areas of the brain in a patient with Parkinson's disease. The electrodes provide continuous electrical stimulation, which blocks the signals that cause the tremors characteristic of Parkinson's disease.
