The old Palace in Madrid built at the end of the 9th century by the Moorish king of Cordoba, Mohammed I. The fortress was rebuilt in the 14th century and in the 16th century Charles V and Philip II rebuilt it as a palace. Unfortunately it was destroyed by fire on Christmas Eve in 1734. Spain.
