Many of the small growers haven't the means to get around to some of the up-to-date places, where the handling of a large cut daily would open their eyes and be of great benefit to them, and for this reason we are often obliged to go over the same old ground in these columns to help the beginners ovsr some of the rough places, in plain every day language, devoted to prac- tical suggestions, and we trust that through these little rose "talks" that many of the small growers will derive , some benefit if ever so little.
