This may be doneby abandoning the stakes, and using a single braceand two short stakes driven each side of thelap of the lower board straight down. For thebrace take a piece of fence board of sufficientlength, according to height of fence, notch oneend so as to slip down upon the lap of the topboards, and put a staple in near the lower end,through which pass a stake bracing out from thefence, as represented in illustration.
