In 1860, assigned to duty in Brook-lyn Navy Yard. In March, 1861, ordered to Lake dutyon the Michigan ; and soon transferred to the FrigatePensacola, in Farraguts expedition against New in the engagements at forts Philip and Jackson andpresent at the surrender of New Orleans.
