Wet autumn view trees, walkers, market stall lady selling metal plaques 1940s-1950s images, Wien Walk, Central Park, New York

The Wien Walk paved pathway runs from the Scholar's Gate entrance to Central Park at 5th Avenue and 60th Street to the south gate of the Central Park Zoo and Wildlife Centre. It is named after New York philanthropist, Lawrence A. Wien (1905-88), whose family restored the walk in his honour. The walkway is one of the most heavily used entrance paths in the park. Benches lining the walk are used for eating lunch. Street artists and market stall holders selling tourist items are also to be seen, here on a wet October afternoon.
