Wrangell is also a fur market, and the samemay be said of all the villages along the Alaskan coast. As we journeyed north, the timber became smaller in sizeand less valuable, but suitable for making paper pulp. Shortlyafter leaving Wrangell, we steamed through the WrangellNarrows for twenty miles.
