Blue sky white clouds view across Chlodna and Zielna Streets crossroads to modernist apartment building, Warsaw, Poalnd

During World War 2, Chlodna Street was kept open by the Germans as an east-west artery through the city. The road divided the two halves of the Warsaw Ghetto, 'Small Ghetto' and 'Large Ghetto'. On January 26, 1940, the two ghettos were connected by a wooden footbridge over Chlodna Street. A memorial to the footbridge crosses Chlodna Street to the left of the shot.
