Density measurement experiment. Apparatus being used to measure the density of glass marbles. The measuring cylinder (right) is partially filled with water and placed on the digital mass balance (centre), which is then re-zeroed. The marbles are then placed in the water and both the volume of water displaced by the marbles, and their mass, are measured. These two measurements can be used to calculate the density of the marbles.
