An 1866 colour illustration of Minnehaha squaw fictional companion of the American Indian Hiawatha (co-founder of the Iroquois Confederacy) . He was also known as Ayenwathaaa or Aiionwatha, The pair featured in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's 1855 epic book poem The Song of Hiawatha.
