Nicolas Remene / Le Pictorium - Mali Magic: manuscripts for peace - 11/3/2022 - Mali / Bamako District / Bamako - Boxes of manuscripts in one of the archiving rooms of the NGO SAVAMA-DCI (Safeguarding and Enhancing Manuscripts for the Defence of Islamic Culture), where some of the 300,000 manuscripts exfiltrated from Timbuktu during the jihadist occupation in 2012-2013 are kept. Today, almost all of these ancient documents have been digitised by the NGO.
