, Vionville, Moselle, France - Cenotaph for Prussian soldiers from Brandenburg Infantry Regiments Nos. 24 and 64, who were killed in the Franco-Prussian War in 1870/71. As a result of this war France lost Alsace-Lorraine to Prussia. The battle of Vionville and Mars-La-Tour on 16 August 1870 was the last battle in the war history, in which cavalry attack played a decisive role in the battle.
