Devotees along with the army help to erect the wooden pole during the ceremony. Indra Jatra, most commonly known as "Yenya" in Nepal Bhasa which means celebration inside Kathmandu. Ya-Sin (Indradhoj Linga), a ceremonial wooden pole was erected in Hanumandhoka which marks the beginning of the eight-day long festival of Indra Jatra.
