The minor characters differentiating the South African Fos- sil from Brachyops and Bhinosaursus seem to be of generic value and I have therefore entered the speci- men in my 'Catalogue of South African Reptilia, under. diquer la forme, et l'objet ne m'appartenaut pas, ne me permet point d'y porter quelque changement" (p. 7). *) Brachyops ??????, Owen.
