Leech, Esq., Oakley, Fallowfield, Manchester. It is the same cross as that from which D. Ainsworthii was obtained, and it resembles that plant both in its growth and in the shape of its flowers, which are about 4 inches in diameter. The sepals and wavy petals are white tipped with rich rose-purple; the lobate lip is white, also purple-tipped, having a large radiating blotch of amaranth-crimson over the whole central area, a broad callous line with fine purple stripes running towards the base, and on each side radiating purple lines. The column is green with purple stripes. It flowers in January and February, and is very floriferous, since stems of but 4 inches high produce blossoms.âGarden hybrid. Fig.âGard.
