The designer of this bridge was Professor N. of the Russian Imperial Institute of Engineers, andDirector of the physical laboratory maintained by the Gov-ernment. Professor Belelubski is Consulting Engineer tothe Slate Department ot Roads and Communications, andhas designed a number of important structures, includingthe great bridges over the Volga, the Dnieper and otherrivers. He has recently received a notable honor, thenumber of the Annals of the Imperial Institute issued onthe twenty-fifth anniversary of its organization being chieflydevoted to an account of his work. It may be added thatthe designs of the numerous bridges required for the Sibe-rian Railroad will be made under his supervision. A LOST LAKE STEAMER.
