Royal Air Force- 2nd Tactical Air Force, 1943-1945. Under the supervision of their flight-sergeant, armourers of No. 609 Squadron RAF lift 3-inch rocket projectiles fitted with 60-lb warheads for loading onto the Squadron's Hawker Typhoon Mark IBs at Thorney Island, Hampshire. Behind them stands JR379 'PR-L' which has already been armed.
