Stralsund, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany - MV Werften Wismar-Rostock-Stralsund. Since March 2016, the cruise ship shipyard has belonged to the Malaysian-Chinese shipping company Genting Hong Kong. Genting founded the new MV Werften, which will in future comprise the Wismar, Warnemuende and Stralsund sites, with a total of just over 1,700 employees. The shipyard group filed for insolvency in January 2022 and the shipyard was sold to Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems in June 2022.
