On March 7, 1912, while tryingfor albacore near Magdalena Bay, they took twenty fish by fish were mature and ready to spawn. The roe of the females wasabout the same size as codfish roe, and was a light brownish red the end of March, this year, they again took albacore withmature roe off San Batrome (?)
