Anterior wings pale clay colour, with a darkftreak down the middle, and a few minute fpots of the fame colournear the apex. Pofterior wings almoft tranfparent, bluifh, fringevery deep, of a clay colour. This elegant Infect was found the latter end of autumn, 1794,among fome high grafs and water plants in the vicinity of Hampftead,and is now in the polTeiTion of the author. It has certainly never been defcribed or figured before j nor is it inthe cabinet of any Entomologift within the circle of our friends j ifwe except a very diftinil variety which is in the cabinet of Mr. ^ Borough.
