In heavy rain, 64 teams from 52 countries, took part in the opening ceremony and first day matches in the Homeless World Cup Football Tournament, hosted this year in Glasgow, Scotland, UK. The tournament was officially opened by Mel Young, Co-Founder and President of the Homeless World Cup and the event attracted thousands of spectators watching the football matches take part on the three pitches specially built in George Square, in the city centre.
