El Mussol (The Owl in catalan), an ancient ad sign, rests atop of a building of the Eixample distrcit of Barcelona as the sun sets. For years The Owl was an advertising claim by Rotulos Roura and is a historical reference of the signs that were placed in the early 1970s in the city. In 2004 was pardoned and restored when all obsolete ad signs were removed under the Ordenança d'Usos del Paisatge Urba (Ordinance Uses Urban Landscape) by Barcelona's City Hall. The Owl was considered part of the collective memory of Barcelona, and it can be considered today a piece of open-air museum.
