Walking at square near monument to Lenin - Sevastopol Cityscapes, Crimea

The monument dedicated to the leader of Soviet revolution, Lenin, was erected in 1957 on a top of the Central Hill in the city of Sevastopol. It can be seen from almost any part of the city. Authors of this project are sculptor Bondarenko and architects Szhuko and Turkovsky. In front of this monument is an observation deck which allows people to view the panorama of the boundless sea with an enormous bulk of ships dissolving into the haze of the horizon… The giant 21-meter high monument covers Vladimir cathedral, standing at other side of the square.
