IMPROVED CHARTIERâA long and unusually large variety. The upper portion of the radish is bright crimson, shaded down to pink at the center, thence to the tip it is pure wax white. In quality it is tender, sweet and mild (see cut). Per pkt., 5c. EARLY SCARLET TURNIPâThe earliest sort, turnip-shaped; color, fine scarlet. It is remark- ably mild, crisp and tender, with a very short top, and can not be too highly recommended for early forcing (see cut). Per pkt., 5c. LONG SCARLET, SHORT TOPâA standard long variety. Root is long, straight, smooth and of a rich scarlet color; very crisp; quick grower (see cut). Per pkt., 5c. LONG WHITE VIENNA â â (Lady Fingers).
