Stone blocks formerly used to support railway lines used in a beach walkway in Saltburn being rebuilt after storm damage
In mid 19th century stone blocks with four bolt holes were used to support railway lines before sleepers were invented and were incorporated into the walkway at Saltburn beach. This was badly damaged in a winter storm and here the blocks are laid out ready for re-installation.
