It is an important agricultural and ranching centre and ithas a large supply trade over a wide area in all directions. It hasa superior class of homes and excellent schools which are welladministered. Immediately west of Medicine Hat and almost joining it isthe town of Redcliff with a population of about eighteen hundredpeople. It has large glass works which employ about 150 has a steel mill and extensive brick works which set a standardof quality and good appearance in building material for the prov-ince.
