Seventyper cent, of all cases occur after the menopause, andthen they seldom give sufficient discomfort to demandtreatment. Gonorrhoeal infect on, by setting up a catar-rhal inflammation of the uterine mucous membrane, is acommon cause of this disease. A strumous diathesis isalso said to predispose a person to adenomatous diseaseof the uterine mucous membrane.
